Hello! My name is Amoi, a little dragon from Java raised by a human I call Mommy.

One dawn long ago, Mommy wanted to fry a sunny-side-up egg. Because she was hungry, Mommy picked the largest egg. But before the spoon could crack the shell, the egg started to move and began to crack.

Mommy was even more surprised when she saw the cracks in the shell getting larger and heard a peep from inside as if it were asking for help.

Mommy was even more shocked when she saw two big, shining eyes—not from a chick, but from me, the little dragon who is adorable.

Mommy calls me Amoi. She always laughs happily because I am cute and confident. She says I always try to breathe fire, but all that comes out is air. The more I try, the more I end up burping. In the end, I often pose for the carvers to sculpt my profile on chairs or teak cabinets. My body is the height of a fist, unlike other dragons, but I am always brave and chatty. My dream is to participate in the League of Dragons so that I can tell stories about my beloved island of Java.
