Topic:
Regenerative Designs for Cultural Heritage

Tulisan will present its 1830 Project and Made in Java Collection at the Piet Hein Eek Gallery during Dutch Design Week 2025 (October 18–26, Eindhoven).

Aligned with this year’s theme, Past–Present–Possible, Tulisan reframes Javanese history (Babad Diponegoro: a UNESCO Memory-of-the-World Registered literature) into storytelling wearable designs and accessible literary works, reforms artisanal practice through zero-waste production, and regenerates cultural futures by collaborating with indigenous weaving traditions of the Mollo Tribe in Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia.

Beyond showcasing design, Tulisan introduces a research-based circular economy infrastructure which converges illustration and textile as narrative agency to support artisan communities—positioning cultural heritage as both a creative force and a driver of systemic change.
