A type of mangrove tree inspires this artwork with the Latin name ’Sonneratia Alba’. In Indonesia, we call the tree ‘Pidada Putih’. In 2021, this tree became Indonesia’s mascot for celebrating national wild flora and fauna! These trees are significant in protecting our coral and coastal areas from tsunamis or onslaughts of waves. The tree with intriguing fruits is also a sanctuary for sparkling fireflies.
