Marigold is one of the earliest motifs ever created in the Tulisan studio, first drawn by hand by Melissa on 10 April 2011. The illustration appeared in a collaboration with French author Virginie Kasse for the book Les Papillons de Victor, and has since grown into a symbol that remains deeply woven into our visual journey.

Over the years, Marigold has returned in various forms and is always warmly received. Each reappearance seems to vanish quickly from the shelves, as if quietly awaited. For many collectors, Marigold was their first introduction to the world of Tulisan. It serves as a gentle reminder of how something simple can leave a lasting mark on one’s memory.

Tulisan continues to explore this motif through various mediums, including scarves, as a tribute to a story that has connected many hearts since the beginning of our journey.

MATERIALS:
Hand-printed serigraphy textiles on unbleached (chlorine-free) cotton canvas, using eco-friendly water-based inks. For the handbags and accessories category, unless otherwise noted, each textile is protected with water-resistant Poly-Urethane coatings. Our hand-made production is certified by the Bluesign®️ system. This certification is a strict screening, designed to monitor the responsible use of resources, clean work processes, wastewater management, healthy air ventilation, and safety procedures for the workers as well as a safe final product for the consumer.
