In the late 18th century, women in court in Java were instrumental in making our affluent civilisation in the pre-colonial era. These women were skilled in warfare, literature, economics, politics, and arts. Using the material culture lens, Melissa designed this bag to recount this overlooked historical narrative while empowering the wearer to redefine women’s roles in today's society. With an illustrated female cavalier, the Maker Bag is a practical working tote with a zipped closure for your multi-dimensional duties. The bag also comes with a loop that can be attached with our popular Bien Strap (sold separately), allowing it to be worn as a handbag, shoulder bag or sling bag.
FEATURES:
- The interior of the bag uses our signature lining. This lining fabric is a highly durable water-repellent fabric, created using the most advanced technology from recycled PET bottles and post-consumer materials.
- Comes with a dustbag, made from pure cotton textile.
