Mosogram
Mosogram took inspiration from my initial ‘Moso’—a Javanese pronunciation of the initial ‘MS’, which means time. This Prints Edition depicts the intricate three-dimensional architecture of time—yesterday, now, and tomorrow. The ancient Javanese civilization, established since the 4th century, has carried valuable knowledge and philosophy applicable as the foundation for harmonious living and a progressive mindset to determine our future direction.
Mosogram consists of four complex screen-printed hand pulls. Each colour requires a lengthy process starting from pulling the colour, drying, and a high-temperature curing process to solidify the colour base to make it durable. Depending on the weather and humidity, there is always some shrinkage or colour change. Each pull is unique and cannot be standardised, resulting in handmade artwork that is unique, organic, and eco-friendly. –MS
