The Aperitif Bag Pinisi Wajik Edition continues Tulisan’s exploration of maritime heritage and geometric symbolism. Inspired by the Pinisi ship—an enduring emblem of Indonesia’s spirit of exploration—and the wajik motif that represents harmony and prosperity, Melissa Sunjaya reinterprets these cultural elements into a contemporary visual language of balance and motion.

The hand-pulled serigraphy on unbleached cotton canvas combines linear rhythm with fluid form, reflecting both the structure of a sail and the softness of wind. It is a poetic reminder that direction and grace often coexist in the same breath.

Designed for elegance and ease, the Aperitif Bag is paired with a Large Pouch and a Medium Pouch, offering organised versatility for everyday essentials. Crafted from water repellent canvas with meticulous finishing, it is both practical and beautifully tactile.

This edition includes an 1830 Bag Charm and a Bien Strap (90 cm), allowing multiple styling possibilities. Each piece is handmade in Jakarta in limited quantity, embodying Tulisan’s belief that design can carry both movement and memory—rooted in culture, and alive in the present.
