The Junction Bag Pinisi Wajikito Edition celebrates the meeting point between tradition and modernity—between craft and imagination. Drawing from the spirit of the Pinisi, Indonesia’s legendary sailing vessel, and the wajik motif symbolising harmony and endurance, Melissa Sunjaya reinterprets these icons into a fresh, rhythmic composition that speaks of movement, balance, and grace.
Hand-pulled in serigraphy on unbleached cotton canvas, the artwork layers geometric order with organic flow, echoing the balance between direction and freedom. It is both a visual journey and a quiet meditation on how heritage continues to guide us forward.
Compact and versatile, the Junction Bag is designed for modern mobility. Its thoughtful structure provides just enough room for daily essentials, crafted from water repellent canvas that offers strength and subtle texture.
This edition includes an 1830 Bag Charm and a Bien Strap (100 cm), allowing flexible wear as a crossbody or shoulder bag. Each piece is handmade in Jakarta in limited quantity, embodying Tulisan’s belief that design is a vessel—carrying stories from the past into the everyday lives of today.
- The interior of the bag uses our signature lining. This lining fabric is a highly durable water-repellent fabric, created using the most advanced technology from recycled PET bottles and post-consumer materials.
- Comes with a dustbag, made from pure cotton textile.
