Description
The Pedestrian Rucksack Pinisi Wajikito Edition embodies the spirit of movement and perseverance. Inspired by the Pinisi—Indonesia’s iconic sailing vessel that braves the wind and tide—and the wajik motif representing balance and continuity, Melissa Sunjaya transforms these symbols into a modern visual rhythm of travel and transformation.
The hand-pulled serigraphy on unbleached cotton canvas layers geometric precision with organic flow, creating a sense of momentum that mirrors the human journey. It is a design that honours navigation, both across the seas and within oneself.
Functional and durable, the Pedestrian Rucksack is designed for daily exploration. With a roll top opening, adjustable straps, and a reinforced base, it adapts effortlessly to changing routines and rhythms. Crafted from water repellent canvas, it offers both resilience and refinement.
This edition includes an 1830 Bag Charm, handmade in Jakarta in limited quantity. Each piece carries Tulisan’s philosophy that movement is a form of reflection, and that every step forward is part of a larger story connecting craft, culture, and care.
