Description

A comfortable cotton t-shirt created through a collaboration between Tulisan and Yayasan Bumi Purnati for Hikayat Perahu (The Tale of Boat), a theatre production directed by Sri Qadariatin, with artistic direction by Restu Imansari Kusumaningrum, and selected by Willem Dafoe for La Biennale di Venezia 2025–2026.

The poster artwork featured on this t-shirt was illustrated by Melissa Sunjaya in 2026 for Hikayat Perahu (The Tale of Boat). Inspired by Syair Perahu by Hamzah Fansuri, a 16th-century Malay literary masterpiece recognised by UNESCO's Memory of the World Register in 2025, the production explores a spiritual journey towards inner peace. Through the metaphor of a boat sailing across the sea, it reflects on the relationship between humanity, the self, and the Divine.
