Lelono: Sonata2

Sonata2: Architect Bag – Yellow Sunflower

The color palette in this collection were selected based on my visual interpretation when listening to the atonal music by Arnold Schoenberg. Schoenberg pioneered the twelve-tone technique, ‘Serialism’, which revamped the traditional musical compositions by manipulating the 12-tone arrangement in the chromatic scales of music. This unique arrangement is not centralized to any particular melody.

Sonata2: Declaration Bag – Blue Capri

My visual rendition of this Serialism technique resembled an entwined rhythm of colors, all composed into abstract arrangements. For all visual compositions with focal points, designed for the ORIGINALS line, I named these ‘Sonata’–as in a musical composition for a solo instrument. As for the motifs in the PRINTS line, I called these ‘Etude’–based on its morphology in music which means a technical study.
