Cajeput is the eighth Prints Edition of the Rolas collection. ROLAS { X2 } collection celebrates Tulisan's 12ᵗʰ anniversary as the publisher of exclusive hand-pulled serigraphy editions in Indonesia. Each of these limited edition pieces features illustrations and designs by Melissa Sunjaya. Her Javanese monogram 'mo-so' (meaning: time or era) marks a new transitional period of her artistic path as she explores the visual poetry of abstract, nature, and botanical elements.
Cajeput plant, or ‘Kayu Putih’ (in Bahasa), is a famous indigenous plant in Indonesia. In the glorious past, our maritime ancestors used the plants for building ships, its woven bark for waterproofing knots, and the leaves for traditional remedies. –MS
