Gema X3

‘Gema’ or echo is a semiotic motif about the frequency of one’s sincere intentions that can resonate with other living beings. ‘Gema’ Prints Edition is a fragment of my visual narrative work entitled ‘Goodwill’, my adaptation of an old folktale engraved on the Jataka reliefs at Borobudur temple about a rabbit. I will use this motif in other narrative forms to illustrate an esoteric philosophical topic. This semiotic layer in my storytelling prompts readers to translate the image with their imagination. Often this semiotic image is a secret clue to things that are difficult for me to express in words. –MS
