Growing amidst the grasses and often unnoticed, a clover is unique and possesses many virtues. In the narrative of “Roekmini van Jepara”, the term “Semanggi Berdaun Tiga” is given to the three sisters: Kartini, Kardinah, and Roekmini, who are often overlooked in the history. There was no rivalry between them. These siblings were nurtured by parents who fostered a supportive environment for pursuing education and social reform. With a strong educational foundation, they were gifted and surrounded by inspiring mentors. The three sisters were united in thoughts and feelings, sharing a common goal of empowering and liberating Javanese women through education, healthcare, and domestic science.
